I’m Simone, the fun-loving creator of Wedding Factory.

Durban born to a Portuguese mom + dad.  I’m a twin and the youngest of 3 kids. Married to my best friend Richard. I Love: Pekingeses, I have 2 of these fluffy monsters {Lena + Domo}. The color Grey. The Ocean. Cheescake. DIY. Handmade and Homemade. Crochet. Sewing. Typography. Stationery. Music. Honesty. Laughter and friendship.

Why Weddings?

Ever since I was a flower girl at my aunts wedding when I was 3, I became obsessed with all things pretty, happy couples, and creative weddings. Anyone could be the groom in my make believe world, including my Grannys dog Bobby! I’m grateful that my mom taught me the value of a well set table and used every opportunity I could to be involved in weddings and parties and making them look beautiful. Qualifying in Wedding Planning was the most natural step.

What to expect from Wedding Factory?

I don’t believe in the ordinary, pre-packed, template type weddings. Nope, not us! Each and every wedding is “hand-made”, bringing out your personalities and telling your story.

I strive to create breath taking memories and giving your guests that feeling that your wedding was the best wedding they’ve been to!

I love creating pretty things and look forward to assisting you with whatever you may need me to. Whether it be telling your story from start to finish, or spending countless happy hours tying ribbons and bows to gifts or chairs, together…
