Richard + Simone

 This is the day I married my best friend Richard. I met this handsome man in a small town in KZN. With our mutual love for the ocean, we knew that there was no better place to get married than in an ocean breeze.

Our dream was to have a proper beach wedding reception, where our guests could wiggle their toes in the sand and we could dance under the stars.

With much research we were able to find a venue in Park Rynie, Scottburgh that was able to accommodate our dream and the needs of our guests too.

None of us lived in the area so we all drove down on the Friday allowing us a full weekend of wedding festivities, with all our family and friends staying in the quaint little log cabins right on the beach. Sunday morning we parted ways with a full breakfast and leftover Cinnabon Wedding cake.

This is one magical wedding I will never forget!                                                                I love my Richard to death! Here is what we created.

Everything was handmade, from the bridal party attire, to the decor and wedding favours. Our bridesmaids made their own dresses with the help of moms, aunts and friends. My mother made my dress which was both an emotional and truly special journey for me. She hand beaded the skirt herself and all the hours she spent on it is still appreciated to this day! The groomsmen were excellent sports and wore their heart felt corsages with pride.

Being without my dad that day was one of the hardest things a girl has to deal with on her wedding day; I had the privilege though of having a big brother that kept me positive, walked me down the and gave me away. I cannot thank him enough for being there for me.
